Happy May Long Weekend!

Hope you’re all enjoying this May Long Weekend…the clouds are bound to clear up, right? While you’re off enjoying the great outdoors, we’re busy at the shop making some BIG changes to our back room! We’re expanding our clothing and accessories boutique, yay! To control the mess, we’ll be closed today and tomorrow but will be open as usual on Tuesday.

The Spruce Girls are heading off on our first big road trip at the end of the month and we cannot wait to share all of our vintage treasures with you all! What better way than to throw a party?! We’re hosting a Ladies Night on Friday, June 7th from 6-9pm and tickets are on sale now for $35 each. Get first dibs on our “new” vintage finds, be one of the first to shop in our new boutique, shop while sipping bubbly and listening to live tunes performed by Coalmont and have fun getting your pics snapped with Cheddarbooth! We’ll have a DIY project for you to make and take home, CeCe Caldwell paint demos, goody bags and lots of sweet and savoury treats to nibble on. Did we mention that you’ll also get 15% off of all purchases (excluding paint) that evening? Don’t miss out! Not a lady? That’s ok…all are welcome, boys included :)

What a weekend! We’re barely into May and yet it feels like the middle of summer…can you say Patio Party? The Spruce Girls love a good patio (not to mention a good party) and we’ve got plenty of new goodies to make your indoor/outdoor spaces feel festive. Spring + Sunshine + a Long Weekend = A very Happy Easter! We’ll be taking a few days off to spend the holiday with our families but will be open on Saturday with a fun gardening drop in class, Easter Egg Herb Planters, between 11-3. $10 for 4 and it’s perfect for all ages, parent participation required :)

Springing Forward: This Week at Spruce

The days are officially longer and we are excited about the bird chirping weather and Spring sunshine ahead! We’ve got plenty of “new” vintage items coming into the shop (Monica is on her way back from a weekend in Portland…can’t wait to see what she brings home!) as well as gorgeous new handmade jewelry, colourful clothing and bright accessories, just in time to cheer up your wardrobe! Our online shop is in the works so you’ll soon be able to shop from the comfort of your living room, although you won’t want to miss out on the vintage displays, drop in classes and scheduled workshops that will be happening in the store. Springing into…well, Spring!

It may be all blustery showers and grey skies outside now but we’ve seen a glimpse or two of Spring over the last couple of weeks and have been happily adding plenty of colour, bright accessories and even clothing (yes, we just brought in even more cute new clothes!) into the store to keep our spirits high. Not to mention vintage finds galore…we’ve been busy bees, on the hunt to bring you more of what you love! And we’ll be announcing some fun new classes and events very soon too so stay tuned…

New at Spruce

Well, hello hello! It feels like forever since we’ve posted here on the blog…oh right, because it has been! Sorry for the silence but things have been bustling at the shop and we’ve been pleasantly surprised by the constant stream of new and repeat visitors popping through our door each day. Our House & Home feature has been such an amazing blessing so early in the game and you’ve obviously all been spreading the word about Spruce too so thank you and keep up the good work :) We have an exciting announcement to make this evening…Monique Papineau is the lucky winner of our Afternoon Tea Grand Prize! She and 7 friends (who will she choose?!) will enjoy high tea from Tracycakes in our Workshop and Mikaela Ruth will be there to capture every moment! Things are bound to get silly with CheddarBooth in the room too! Congrats to Monique and we can’t wait to share the fun with you all very soon. Not to be exclusive, four other lucky ladies won some pretty fantastic prizes as well: Chelsea Canale won $200 off of a photo session with Mikaela; Cristina Pearl won a $100 gift certificate for Spruce Collective; Lisa Kramer won $300 off of her next CheddarBooth booking; and Sheryl Bisschop won high tea at Tracycakes…congrats ladies!
